Though Richa and Sandish hailed from finance backgrounds, they never quite hesitated to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey in the realm of fashion and glamor. Sandish initially set up a brand named Webbin for selling replicas of bags on online shopping portals like Flipkart and Amazon. But soon he realized it wasn’t something he wanted to do in the long run.

It was then that he joined hands with college buddy Richa to establish House Of Webhin. Richa was immensely fond of handicrafts and understood their significance in the context of art and culture. The duo began sourcing handmade bags from local artisans. Richa adds “Earlier we had to source the frames from India but now we get them from China.” Apart from that, a small portion of the profit goes into feeding and nursing stray dogs. In fact, they feed around 80 dogs in their area.

House Of Webhin offers a wide range of handcrafted bags that includes stunning clutches, potlis, batuas and bridal trousseau boxes. The brand collaborates with talented artisans from Bareiley to come up with bags for all reasons and seasons. They are all handmade by some of the most gifted artisans whose passion and craftsmanship lends a unique charm to each of the products.

The brand name too is unique and in sync with the tag line which says “We are stylishly different.” In fact, you would rarely come across any two bags that are similar in design, artistry and overall appeal. The startup aims to provide a platform for unknown artisans to showcase their skills to the world. Richa explains “They don’t often get the support and encouragement they deserve. Ours is a humble attempt to highlight their work and bring them into the limelight. They stay at our workshops and get all kinds of support to create bags that embody craftsmanship and opulence in their truest forms”.Don’t miss the quirky digitally printed clutches, resin clutches embellished with thread work and stones or multicolored floral clutches suitable for both Indian and western outfits. As first-time parents, Gaurav and Charu had a lot to learn, unlearn and relearn, especially when it came to dealing with their child’s skincare problems. Gaurav explains “We had very little understanding that our child’s skin could be sensitive. He kept reacting to every diaper rash cream that we used, every moisturizing lotion or face cream that we tried and got dry skin after each bath regime. This left us completely shattered and we felt helpless on what could go wrong. Our only option was to use clinical products for our child.”

That’s when Charu started reading up on the labels of each skincare product to understand what could possibly cause harm to her baby’s skin. Since she had closely worked in the chemical industry with deep insight on personal and beauty care chemicals, the new mother started deep diving into the ingredients. Charu says “We figured out the products that we used had very high content of preservatives, reactive actives and toxins which were not safe for sensitive skin babies.”

After long research and extensive discussions with several scientists, suppliers and partners, the couple zeroed down on key specific ingredients and got their products formulated. Gaurav’s brief stint in South Korea helped him understand the Baby and Personal care market.

“We wanted every parent to have the best skin solution for their babies and to not face issues as we did as new parents understanding what could cause the kid skin issues.” emphasizes Gaurav.

In fact, Gaurav’s hands-on experience in product development and Charu’s vast research on skincare led to the creation of clean natural baby products especially suited for babies’ sensitive skin. That’s how Truly Blessed was born.
