This is how two enthusiastic hotel management graduates, Divya Bisaria and Rajesh Bhatia tasted delicious success with their venture Chocoholix.
Having learnt the fine art of baking, Divya and Rajesh before probation, got some time on their hands to experiment with baking. This was when they decided to start a chocolate business. Their chocolates were loved by all and they received an overwhelming response from their customers.
Eventually, they joined the prestigious Taj Group. But after a brief stint, they realized that they were more satisfied with running their own business. They both quit their jobs to start Chocoholix in January 2014 with their own modest capital investments.
“Though we struggled a lot because we started from scratch, we enjoyed the challenges.
We started with crafting chocolates, then I completed a few professional cake baking courses. With a lot of practice and experiments we became experts in making chocolates, cakes, pastries and desserts” Recalls Divya.
Chocoholix – Where the baking action comes alive
When asked what is so different about Chocoholix, co-founder Rajesh says, “We wanted our customers to have a real-time baking experience. So, we started the live kitchen concept where you can see the cake baking process and experience the enticing aroma while the cake is being baked.”
This was a real game-changer. Other factors that boosted business was that every cake, even the smallest cake was customized and the cakes were less sweet as compared to other cakes. Every cake had its own story. There is bliss in every bite.
Birthday theme cakes for kids like Cartoon Theme, Super Hero Theme, Unicorn Theme and many more. Cakes for all occasions like Baby Shower, Engagement, Mehendi Function. They also offer Fresh Fruit Cakes, Brownies, Fudge, Chocolate Truffles, Mousse, Hampers and Chocolates of all kinds.

“Baking is all about patience and getting the ingredients right,” says Divya.
It is this very fundamental principle that is at work in Chocoholix.
Chocoholix has delivered delicious cakes and desserts to 30,000 plus customers till date. There are plans for growth and making Chocoholix a really popular and well-known brand, but not at the cost of quality or customer satisfaction. So much so, that very lucrative franchisee offers too were turned down because both Divya and Rajesh strongly feel that it is not the money that is the driving force, but the experience of buying a quality product and celebrating life’s wonderful moments that matters the most.
The plan as of now is to focus on the current operations at hand. In the near future, they slowly plan to expand to accommodate the growing demand for good quality customized cakes and desserts.
