What is life but a celebration of moments. It’s these magical moments which create a wonderful collage of beautiful memories that last a lifetime. Only a handful of event organizing companies understand and appreciate the significance of these ecstatic celebrations in a person’s life. Launched on 27th April, 2017, Peaches and Pastels is an event organizing company founded by two highly creative and hardworking women who call themselves ‘Experience Curators’ – Amita Laliwala and Charmi Zaveri. Spread all across Mumbai and slowly expanding through virtual medium to places like Delhi, Dubai and West Bengal, this company strives to become a major player in the field of event management and aims to establish a tie up with at least 10 big brands including banquets and hotels.

How the ball got rolling

The beginning is always the toughest. For the analytical Amita who’s a homemaker and the creative Charmi who’s an MBA in Human Resource, the challenge to set up their own venture was a daunting one. Yet, they persisted.

Further elaborating on their remarkable journey, they said “We used to set up our own homes, used to make gift hampers for our friends and family. We had creative ideas which we started executing on a large scale. Amita, one of the partners started this company a decade ago, as times changed, so did the need to match up to the current trends and ideas, Charmi joined as a partner in 2017, and there came along Peaches & Pastels.”

They both joined hands and together established a vision for the company. Charmi, the creative backbone and Amita the logistics backbone, both of them together make a great team.

Riding into the future

Running a business during such uncertain times is pretty tricky. Keeping the pandemic in mind, the company has made its services available virtually. The designs and concepts play a very significant role in virtual events. They have made the decor boxes available through non-contact deliveries and are beginning to work on small set ups with 50 people maximum.

Briefing us slightly about their plans for future expansion, they said “Investing in an office space & in more inventory. Focusing more on paid collaborations. Keeping in mind the pandemic situation, we are going to diverge our focus on events with a smaller group of people.”
