The earth is carrying the burden of waste generated over hundreds of years, which has now infiltrated its core. The water is polluted and so is the air; many harmful diseases affecting lives. This calls for businesses to be more eco-friendly, sustainable, and green. For Earth’s Sake, a one-year-old zero-waste lifestyle store cum cafe is a step in that direction. This Gurgaon-based entity is taking great strides in reducing waste through its innovative solutions.
An Impressive Start
Founded by siblings Vidur and Vidushi Mayor, For Earth’s Sake is India’s first cafe and lifestyle store of its kind. Its mission is to reduce waste in terms of single-use plastic and to find sustainable alternatives for all our daily needs. The thoughtfully designed products are a spectacular switch to a healthier, cruelty-free and waste-free lifestyle. The brand works on the concept that sustainability and eating local go hand in hand.
For Earth’s Sake: Bespoke Offerings
The cafe menu consists of delicious bakes to go perfectly with authentic dishes as well as burgers, sandwiches, wraps. All of these are designed to be planet-friendly. Vidur shares, “Eating local and seasonal is a golden rule for our café. With the ingredients sourced fresh and locally, our menu changes with the season to give you the best the planet has to offer.”
Additionally, its lifestyle store, also available across several stockists platforms including Amazon & LBB, offers 100+ SKUs. The brand sells bulk foods, stationary, household items, personal care products, toiletries and much more. They deliver their products nationally via their ecommerce website www.forearthssake.co.in
Marching with confidence towards future goals
According to Vidur, the lockdown period worked really well for the brand as he shares, “We have seen 15X growth in our revenue pre and post lockdown in 2020. We have seen a huge impact in customer growth in 2020 and we aim to keep growing.”
Going ahead, For Earth’s Sake is constantly working on showing up in more places. “We will be targeting Delhi/NCR for more stores and cafes and eventually in other cities like Bangalore and Mumbai. FES has also launched a franchise model and we have opened our doors for angel investors to grow with us,” Vidur highlights.
